In Veneto and the Triveneto area, extraordinary transactions continue to be a structural lever for growth. Following the 155 M&A transactions recorded in 2024 (over 10% of the national total, source: Market Watch Veneto – Banca Ifis), the trend continued in 2025 with 103 deals in the first half out of a total of 561 in Italy.
The phenomenon affects strategic supply chains in the North East—manufacturing, aerospace, B2B services, agritech—and primarily involves solid small and medium-sized enterprises that choose integration paths to strengthen competitiveness and market presence. Key drivers include: generational transition, buy-and-build strategies, and internationalization.
As Dario Lenarduzzi, Partner at Studio Alcor, emphasizes, the success of these operations does not depend solely on the formal agreement: "It is essential to review decision-making balances, precisely define delegations and responsibilities, and adopt adequate management and control systems. Governance and rules are not formal aspects, but essential tools to prevent conflicts and ensure the sustainability of the alliance over time."
The role of the professional thus becomes central in the aggregation process. "The accountant supports companies in choosing the most suitable structure, assessing risks, and identifying real opportunities. Clearly regulating the relationships between partners is fundamental to building solid, coherent, and sustainable agreements in the medium-to-long term, as is managing sustainability issues ," concludes Lenarduzzi.
